Even though the weather has felt like spring for the past month, It’s finally here! Happy Spring! Here’s some springtime aesthetics for the soul.
If I had a money tree growing in my backyard, I would definitely fill my spring and summer wardrobe with the latest collection from Emerson Fry. Filled with linen, classic lines and fun prints, any of these new pieces would make me a very happy girl.
Law and Order SVU is happy to report that it’s taking a vacation from my non-stop watching entertainment. Not that I love Detective Stabler or Benson any less, but there is a new love in my life, Mad Men. Let me preface this with saying that this show has been running for 4 seasons already. This is probably old news to many people, but I have heard non-stop raving about Mad Men. Everyone watches Mad Men. Apparently I was the only person at work who hadn’t heard about Mad Men. So, seeing as the Bachelor ended and I’ve seen every episode of Law and Order about five times, I decided it was time to get hooked on a new tv show (and preferably one I could stream for hours straight on Netflix)
And wouldn’t you know it, everyone was right.
At least today is gloomy outside so I have an excuse to get caught up on my Mad Men drama before the Season 5 premiere tomorrow.
It’s not even Monday yet and I am already planning my St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Richmond, VA this weekend. I’ve never been to Shamrock The Block, but a weekend filled with margaritas, outdoor drinking and my best friends? I can’t imagine a better way to spend my weekend.
Here some green aesthetics to help get into the St. Patricks Day mood for this weekend! And remember, ”If you’re lucky enough to be Irish, you’re lucky enough”.
This is exactly how I measure time; I should look into investing in one of these watches.
A collection of my past couple weeks via instagram. Happy weekend!
So I have a new blog crush. In my mind, the perfect blog is a lifestyle blog, filled with tons of personal photography and effortless design and fashion inspiration. Also, throwing a baby in the mix doesn’t hurt. I recently ran into this little family blog that includes some of my favorite things; a bulldog, a baby, bow ties and freckles! Not to mention they call Washington, D.C. home. And not to mention that this adorable couple reps some SERIOUSLY good fashion taste. I may or may not have a blog-crush.
My morning ritual of coffee, oatmeal and reviewing bookmarked blog favorites has a new member to the crew!
Some outfit inspiration for DC Fashion Week this weekend.
If you live in the Washington, D.C. area, the only thing more popular than Chop’t is Georgetown Cupcakes. Well, my friends, I think I have found Georgetown Cupcakes match; Crumbs.
And let me tell you, their red velvet cupcake of the month is pure cupcake heaven. What a wonderful way to end the weekend. Happy Sunday!
Is this too many puppy pictures for anyone to handle? No? I didn’t think so.
I have started reading Huck, by Janet Elder and if I wasn’t a puppy obsessed looney toon before, I am definitely one now. In the book, Huck is a red toy poodle mix. This little guy pulls on my heartstrings because I grew up with a black standard poodle, Gracie. BUT, I am dying for a lab. I don’t care what color; brown, yellow, black or silver. Just get me a lab!
I am mildly obsessed with both of these ladies and their haircuts. The first is This Time Tomorrow’s blog author, Krystal Bick. She recently cut off 12, YES 12, inches of her hair. Holy cow. The latter is, obviously, Alexa Chung, who I have always loved.
If I had enough courage to get my hair cut, these two ladies would seriously make me re-consider growing out my mane.
so in love with madewell’s current collection.
I am in serious, serious, need of a new desk chair. The one I have now is super uncomfortable and does not fit my style at all. I have been perusing around the internet for some much needed chair-inspiration; I’m loving these chairs in particular. Feminine, eclectic and COMFY! Thank you pinterest!
